Welcome to Mrs. Snow’s Math

This web site was designed for students and parents of high school students who were enrolled in my Precalculus and Calculus classes.  Here you will find copies of my class notes, the syllabus, and other information related to the classes.  I use past tense as I retired at the end of the 2023-24 school year.  Because of many of my precalculus students are enrolling into the on-level calculus class or planning on taking calculus in college, I have decided to keep my website active.

I love Math Clip Art

Note on TI 83-84 Graphing Calculators:  My notes and lessons are based on the assumption that students  have a Texas Instruments graphing calculator.  Many of the assignments use the graphing calculator for proper completion.

There are free TI calculator apps available for download on cell phones; calculators also may be purchased at any office supply store, large discount store, or online.  Lastly, I have heard that you can sometimes find them at the Goodwill for cheap!  For Goodwill, make sure it works before you make a purchase or that it may be returned if it does not work.  The battery operated ones require four AAA batteries.   If you are thinking about purchasing a new calculator that is super, but keep in mind that the TI 84 Plus CE can run into some money.  I did a quick check and depending on the color of the case you choose, the price ranges from $100 to $160!  I would only recommend a purchase of a new calculator for the student who is seriously considering college in a technical field of study.
